Into Thin Air is one of the periods of the xkcd comic Time within the Summit Era.
It lasted from frame 2616 to frame 2645.
During the period, our intrepid explorers pause to catch their breath and comment that they are getting winded easily. They also postulate that the air is different and Megan comments that it is definitely cooler.
It is theorized that they are becoming more winded as they continue to increase their elevation because they are used to sea level atmosphere and at their current elevation, the air is thinner.
