longpix is a unit of time roughly equal to one hour of outsider time.

On Saturday 30 March 2013 (exactly five days after the strip launched), the frames of the One True Comic began to update every hour instead of every thirty minutes.  At first it was speculated to be a change that occurs on weekends, but it has continued into the next week.

Although, by definition, a newpix is the interval between two frames of the One True Comic, the term longpix began to be used in the forum to avoid confusion, as the space of time between updating frames since 30 March.

The unit was first conceived in the forum. Some claim the longpix doesn't exist, and use the term WarpPix instead.
